Anthracite Version 1.6.1 Change Log

Anthracite version 1.6.1 (released 8/24/2006) provides two important updates to resolve user reported issues with MySQL exporting and Excerpt processing.

Updates:
MySQL Export Object file descriptor starvation issue fixed.

Excerpt Array Columns index offset issue fixed, plus general update to Excerpt object handling for single item lists and two-dimensinonal arrays.


New Solution
SEC Edgar Daily Filings to hCards - Many customers are using Anthracite for sales prospecting. This solution provides an Automator workflow that loads the latest filings from the SEC and then converts name and address information into the hCard microformat suitable for use with contact management software. For more details see the "README" file included in the "Goodies > Samples > Solutions > SEC Edgar Daily Filings to hCards" folder.


New Example Documents
More than 80 sample documents come bundled with Anthracite helping users get up to speed quickly on all of the program's capabilities.

ExcerptListTests and ExcerptArrayTesting - two documents used during testing of Anthracite to confirm the correctness of the array mode of the "Extract" Processor Object.

HTMLTableToCSVMethods - Shows two different approaches to converting data from an HTML table into CSV format. The righthand side method shows how simply the process can be set up, and the lefthand side shows how to get more control over which columns are extracted.

Run Python Script on Page - shows how to access the Regular Expression tools in the Python language by running data loaded in Anthracite through an external Python script.

SEC-BizInfoToHCard - a sample that converts business information from a single SEC filing into the hCard microformat. Built from the previous "SEC-BizInfo" sample which converts the contact information into CSV.

SpeakRSSFeed and SpeakHTMLSummary - User suggested sample documents showing how to use the AppleScript export object to speak the results of Anthracite processes summarizing the contents of a webpage and the headlines from an RSS feed.

Plus, "Empty All Anthracite Results" AppleScript in the AppleScripts subfolder, a sample script that shows how to empty all results in an Anthracite document at once.
