Anthracite Version 1.6 Change Log

Version 1.6 is a major update that introduces several new features, as well as adds a variety of user requested enhancements and fixes several issues.


New Features
  • FTP support added wherever URLs are used, simply use "ftp://" protocol.

  • Standard Output export option, when using Anthracite on command line (e.g., via cron), can now pass Anthracite output to additional UNIX processes.

  • Added preliminary support for Plugins to enable new functionality to be added more quickly in upcoming versions, as well as eventually enable third-party developers to incorporate their own, and give customers choice to replace basic default functionality with more advanced capabilities. First plugin in development (soon to be released) is Postgres SQL database support.


    • Updates & Bug Fixes
  • URL Loading Delay preference, set the amount of delay between URL loads in fractional (decimal) amounts, e.g., ".5" for half a second delay. See "Preferences > Data" pane.

  • Added user-requested ability to turn off automatic single quoting of MySQL insert values.

  • Fixed issue introduced in prior version in which Basic Report object functionality was accidentally disabled. Now Basic Report with single and multiple array inputs should work properly, along with inclusion of Header and Footer files (see new sample document).

  • Excerpt Array Column updated to support variable-length arrays (bases end of array on actual ending per array count, as opposed to maximum array count for row).

  • Fixed problem with array excerpt negative start indexing.

  • Links on Page source object updated to ignore, but not hang, on non-singledotslash ("./") relative URLs encountered.

  • Anthracite now includes local network key checking to enforce the license terms of one license key required per machine.

  • Cleanup of assorted Console debug messages

  • New sample documents include examples of FTP and Standard Out functionality, and a document with various Basic Report modes to help demonstrate the fixes.
